Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 22nd February to 7th March this year - see the Fairtrade Foundation for more details.
The Traidcraft Autumn Preview team were greeted with great joy when they visited The Priory at Leominster on Thursday 18th September 2008. It was an honour to be chosen this year to host the travelling show. Linda McKinley had organised a small lunch for the team, who needed it after setting off at 6am that morning to set up in time for the one o'clock start. Helpers from Leominster Fairtrade Town group rallied with teas and coffees throughout the afternoon keeping the many Traidcraft reps and other interested parties going.
The National Traidcraft group was made up of Brian Conder, who is in charge of the key contacts, Jane Riley who did the presentation, Nicky Robinson head of non-food development and Penny Smith non-food merchandise manager, as well as Camilla Parker from the policy unit and many others.
The preview was laid out in one wing of the Priory so that the visiting volunteers could peruse the new lines and order them. It was a very colourful show. The new chocolate line was also available to taste, and coffee and fruit samples given out. It was a lovely event and we do so hope everyone enjoyed it.
